Good Evening Western Wisconsin Travel Families,

It’s hard to believe the Fall TCSL Season is already over! Looking through the standings our Western Wisconsin Club had an expected mix of success and challenge in competitive play this fall, with varied finishes at the top, middle, and bottom of their brackets. For the High School age girls, several teams saw success winning championships at their Fall tournaments. All in all, we’re happy with the opportunity all teams got to be outside (thank you weather!) and continue their soccer development journey.

As we look forward, there are a few things we want you to be aware of:

Field of Dreams closing November 6th:

  • Many teams will conclude outside practices shortly due to minimal daylight. Follow your schedule as posted on TeamSnap.

  • Dibs hours for Fall field maintenance work/upcoming fundraiser will be posted 10/21.

Winter Training starts early November:

  • You should start seeing Team Snap schedules updated within the next week.

  • Most teams will be training at Catalyst, 1 week night and 1 weekend day a week.

Futsal starting November 5th for U11-U14:

  • Futsal is offered for ages U11-U14 and included in your registration. If you are unfamiliar, Futsal is 5v5 indoor soccer played at the St. Croix Valley Recreation Center in Stillwater.

  • There are 2 sessions, Nov-Dec and Dec-Feb with games on Friday nights. If you are within these age groups, your coach has made the decision if 1 or both sessions will be played.

  • Note since it's 5v5, older age teams with larger rosters may have a need to be selective of participation from week to week, but throughout the session all players should have equal opportunity to participate.

  • More information at: http://www.futsaleast.com/Futsal_East/Home.html

Soccer Equipment Recycling Drive at Field of Dreams:

  • If your child has grown out of their cleats/shin guards, moved on to the next size soccer ball – or are in need of any of those things, please stop by the FOD on 10/30 between 10am and Noon.

  • Please watch for additional information, as Hudson Soccer will also be hosting Halloween activities and an Operation HELP fundraiser on 10/30.

Annual meeting is Monday 10/18 at 7pm at Catalyst.:

  • Bring a chair to sit on the turf while the board reviews the current year Rec and Travel Program and some exciting things to come! All parents and players are invited to attend.

  • Address is 1830 Hanley Rd, Hudson, WI 54016.

Finally, we wanted to thank all the players and parents who’ve joined us as we’ve embarked on our newly expanded Western Wisconsin Program. As with all new changes it comes with opportunities to listen to our members and reflect on options to continually improve the program. The feedback you’ve provided has helped us consider new pathways to better support our players and coaches. We’ve also added a new Travel Program FAQ page to the website (https://www.hudsonsoccer.com/travelfaqs) and we’ll continue adding information as we see trends in questions. We thank you for your patience as we listen and adjust to make our Western Wisconsin Soccer program optimal for all.

Thank you!
