Hudson Soccer Association is continuing to rebrand over to Western Wisconsin Soccer

Hudson Soccer Association has been rebranding over to Western Wisconsin Soccer over the last 5 years. We started with our Competitive Girls Travel Programs in 2019 and then we moved our Competitive Boys Travel Programs over to Western Wisconsin Soccer in 2021. Now, we are proud to announce that we are moving our Recreational Soccer Program to the Western Wisconsin Soccer brand as well. For 37 years we have strived to provide exceptional soccer experiences for players of all ages and abilities, and this name change reflects our commitment to inclusivity and the growth we’ve experienced delivering on that commitment. Our club now provides soccer programming for over 1500 players from U4 to adult, through competitive travel teams, robust recreational leagues, and our exciting new adaptive recreational soccer program. This commitment has grown our soccer community beyond Hudson, with our programs welcoming 25-35% of players from the surrounding areas. As a board, we felt it was time to align our name and our brand to our future, securing Western Wisconsin Soccer to represent exceptional inclusive soccer experiences for everyone in all of our surrounding communities. We celebrate this success under the continued leadership our Board of Directors and Casey Holm, Director of Coaching, whose vision and dedication have propelled our soccer travel program to new heights.

Our website, emails, email addresses, and social media will be converting to Western Wisconsin this fall, with an updated website coming in November!

New Leadership Roles Announced

The Western Wisconsin Soccer Board is proud to announce the introduction of new leadership roles within our organization:

  • Director of Club Operations (DCO): We are delighted to have Kati Schenz as the Director of Club Operations. Kati has proudly served our organization for many years as a player parent, volunteer Board Member, and Club Administrator. We are thrilled to now have her as our full time DCO. Kati is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing the Recreational Programs, and coordinating with our Director of Coaching, Casey Holm; for the Competitive Program. This includes managing all club correspondence, maintaining the website and social media channels, managing fundraising efforts, sponsorships, volunteer coordination, concessions, and marketing activities, in addition to so much more!
  • Technical Director: We are also excited to announce the appointment of Andrew Shirley as our Technical Director. Andrew played soccer collegiately for the University of St. Thomas, and then professionally overseas for clubs in the Netherlands and Germany. In addition to his role as Technical Director, he also currently serves as Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at UW-Eau Claire and coaches our WWFC 2006 Girls and WWFC 2008 Boys teams. Andrew currently holds coaching licenses from both the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). He will oversee the technical development and coaching curriculum across all levels of our programs, ensuring the highest standards of coaching and player development for all of our kids.

These additions to our leadership team will further enhance our ability to deliver an outstanding soccer experience and support to our players and families. As always, our commitment to providing a positive and enriching environment for your children remains our top priority.

Thank you for your continued support of our organization. We look forward to welcoming our players back for another great season of soccer.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors
