Local Certifications:  online and listed on www.minnesotasrc.com. 

 Information to certify as grade 8 referee.  Anyone over the age of 12 is eligible. 

1.  Visit www.minnesotasrc.com and create an account as a new referee.  NEW REF button is on the left column. 

2. Pay yearly certification fee.  $40 to USSF and $20 State Admin fee 

3. Complete 6-7 hours of online video module training and test before class deadline. 

4. Sign up for a clinic.  Full list is online, there are local clinics through the end of April.  Hudson is hosting a clinic on Sunday, April 14th.

5. Attend clinic 8 hours.  Prepare to be at least 15-20 min early to clinic.  Doors close at 8AM and you must be in your seat and checked in.  There is no additional fee for clinic and it is mandatory to complete the training.  

6. If you are 18 years old, turning 18 during the summer season, or over 18 years old:  an adult background check needs to be completed before you accept games.  The fee for this is $12

2. Click the "Register" link at the bottom of the page to begin the Referee Background Screening. 

3. Enter your Sport Ngin username and password to login, or create a new account if you don't yet have one. 

4. The following information is required* to complete the background check: last name, middle name, first name, current address, city, state, zip code, date of birth, and social security. You will also be required to provide a contact email and phone number. 

5. Submit $12 payment by credit card or ACH to complete your submission. 

7. A receipt will automatically be emailed to the address associated with your profile. Save this for your records. 

1. Uniform can be picked up at the local sports store or ordered online www.officialsports.com
