The Hudson Soccer Travel program provides players the opportunity to play competitive soccer. Traveling soccer requires a greater commitment than recreational soccer. The travel program provides quality licensed parent or paid coaches (depending on level), academy and team training, and year round training.
We offer boys and girls travel teams from the U9 level to U19. Players will participate in the Twin Cities Soccer League (TCSL) during the fall and spring, with games throughout the Twin Cities; tournaments that may be out of town, and possibly indoor leagues during the winter.
At Hudson Soccer, our goal is to develop a life long love of soccer. We will give our players the opportunity to learn and improve as soccer players in a constructive, competitive and fun environment.
Travel Program Timeline Overview:
Tryouts are late July/early August. Teams are announced early August. Practices begin mid August. Games are played through the Twin Cities Soccer League (TCSL), and run from early September to the end of October. Games are either played on our home fields in Hudson or in the East Metro. At older age groups and higher play levels the split between home and away games may be different and games could be anywhere in the metro area. Indoor Training held at Catalyst run early November and goes through April (1-2 times per week). Teams may also participate in Futsal or other indoor leagues. Outdoor practices resume in mid April (about 2 times per week). Games run from early May to the end of June. The Spring/Summer season is played through the Twin Cities Soccer League, and consists of 8-10 games. The Director of coaching will work to have half of the games played on our home fields in Hudson and half in the East Metro. At older age groups and higher play levels the split between home and away games may be different and games could be anywhere in the metro area.
All teams will play in Hudson's Rivertown Classic in the Spring, and all U9 to U15 teams will play in the Hudson Fall Classic in the Fall. Each team will be reimbursed a total of $500 per year for other tournaments.
All players wanting to be placed on a team must register for tryouts. If your child is unable to attend tryouts, please contact Casey Holm to make other arrangements. For dates and times of this year's tryouts, please visit the Tryout FAQ page.
Players are not guaranteed a roster position on any specific team regardless of age or previous team placement.

HSA realizes that while our travel costs are relatively low compare to other organizations in the area, there are instances where they may place a financial burden on families. Our goal is to provide everyone an opportunity to play soccer. Thanks to our sponsors and fundraising efforts, HSA has a great financial assistance program. If your family would like to complete a financial assistance application please do so at https://www.hudsonsoccer.com/page/show/5092512-financial-assistance. This application is completely confidential, and only reviewed by two HSA board members.
Volunteer: The Hudson Soccer association is a volunteer based organization and all programs are supported through volunteers. Traveling program parents are required to perform 8 hours of service, per player, with a family maximum of 16 hours, per year. If you are unable to volunteer, a $160 ($320 family max) non-volunteer fee is required.
